Co-founder of Evinature. Co-founder & Integrative Gastroenterology Specialist. Founder & Director of the Integrative Gastroenterology unit at Sheba Medical Center & co-founder and acting CEO of the Sino-Israeli Research Foundation (SIRF).

Nir Salomon was first drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC) during his travels in East Asia, where he witnessed the immense potential of herbal treatments. He went on to study under Professor Liang Chao, the renowned herbalist and head of gastroenterology at Chengdu University Hospital, China. There, he came to view digestive health as the foundation of the entire physiological system, sparking a lifelong interest in digestive health. 

Combining the biological, physiological and energetic facets of the digestive system, Nir developed a holistic, intuitive and comprehensive medical model for treating digestive disorders. Since then, he has led innovative research projects, earning several prestigious awards for “breakthrough innovation” and “clinical merit” in his work. He has been invited to lecture around the world, advocating integrative methods at both conventional and alternative medical conferences, and teaching his “Stabilizing the Earth” course to TCM practitioners.  

Nir’s background in TCM recently led to an investigation of curcumin as a treatment for various gastro disorders. Despite a long history of traditional use, the compound had yet to be scrutinized under the scientific lens. In 2011, Nir teamed up with Professor Shomron Ben-Horin to lead a four-year international placebo-controlled trial testing an innovative gut-directed formulation of curcumin on UC patients. The results clearly affirmed curcumin’s efficacy in inducing clinical and endoscopic remission, and sparked the founding of Evinature in the hopes of providing safe, natural and clinically proven treatments to patients around the world.  

Nir currently treats patients at his two private IBD clinics, and at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. He lives in the northern village of Binyamina with his wife and three kids.
